TEHRAN (Tasnim) \u2013 Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said recent unrest in Iran represented a continuation of unsuccessful plots by the US and the Zionist regime following the 12-day war, stressing that such efforts have once again been thwarted by the Iranian nation.<\/h3>\n

In a telephone conversation with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday, Pezeshkian addressed the latest domestic disturbances, describing them as an extension of coordinated foreign-backed attempts to destabilize the Islamic Republic. He said these schemes have failed to achieve their objectives due to public vigilance and national unity.<\/p>\n

The president noted that the massive and historic presence of the Iranian people in condemning the trained rioters clearly demonstrated the nation\u2019s resolve and awareness, dealing a fresh blow to the enemies\u2019 agenda. He added that this public stance has paved the way for the Islamic Republic to move forward with greater confidence and strength in pursuit of its national goals.<\/p>\n

Pezeshkian reiterated his administration\u2019s firm commitment to reinforcing internal cohesion and expanding relations with neighboring and Islamic countries, emphasizing that hostile powers are intensifying pressure in an attempt to hinder Iran\u2019s progress and development.<\/p>\n

Highlighting the importance of regional stability, the Iranian president commended Pakistan\u2019s constructive role in supporting de-escalation efforts. He also expressed optimism that the unified positions of regional countries, including Iraq, Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, would effectively counter attempts to undermine peace and security in the region.<\/p>\n

For his part, Prime Minister Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan\u2019s solidarity with Iran, describing the Islamic Republic as a key and influential actor in the region.
