Tehran, IRNA \u2013 President Masoud Pezeshkian says it is inconceivable to assign women any status or value lower than that of men, stressing that \u201cwomen are the pillars of society and the builders of the country and its future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking at a ceremony marking Woman\u2019s Day and Mother\u2019s Day on Wednesday, Pezeshkian said that men and women \u201cbuild life together and are responsible for raising children and the future-makers of the country.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said that the role of women and mothers carries \u201ca very high level of importance and value.\u201d<\/p>\n

Criticizing \u201cwrong beliefs\u201d that treat women as tools, the president said, \u201cI believe that those who do not see women and their valuable place in society are blind.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pezeshkian concluded by congratulating all Iranian women and mothers, saying he believes fully in their abilities and worth.<\/p>\n
