The members of BRICS condemned the recent Israeli and American acts of aggression against Iran. The 17th summit of the BRICS bloc of developing economies was held in Brazil\u2019s Rio de Janeiro on July 6.<\/p>\n

The BRICS leaders issued a declaration on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

According to Paragraph 21 of declaration, the military assaults on Iran that began on June 13 have been denounced as a violation of the international law and the Charter of the United Nations.<\/p>\n

The BRICS statement also described the deliberate attacks on Iran\u2019s peaceful nuclear facilities as breaches of international law and the IAEA resolutions, expressing grave concern about those military actions.<\/p>\n

The BRICS communiqu\u00e9 also addresses a broad range of issues related to international peace and security, development, economic inequality, the environment, unilateralism, economic sanctions, and the genocide and crimes perpetrated by the Zionist regime in the occupied Palestinian territories.<\/p>\n

While the Zionist regime waged a war of aggression against Iran on June 13 and struck Iran\u2019s military, nuclear and residential areas for 12 days, the US stepped in and conducted military attacks on three nuclear sites in Iran\u2019s Natanz, Fordow and Isfahan on June 22.<\/p>\n

The Iranian military forces started counterattacks immediately afterwards. The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Force carried out 22 waves of retaliatory missile strikes against the Zionist regime as part of Operation True Promise III that inflicted heavy losses on cities across the occupied territories.<\/p>\n
