{"id":110466,"date":"2022-09-12T10:25:29","date_gmt":"2022-09-12T04:25:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.iranmirrorbd.com\/en\/?p=110466"},"modified":"2022-09-12T10:39:22","modified_gmt":"2022-09-12T04:39:22","slug":"narges-abyar-selected-for-religion-today-panel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iranmirrorbd.com\/en\/2022\/09\/12\/narges-abyar-selected-for-religion-today-panel\/","title":{"rendered":"Narges Abyar selected for Religion Today panel"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Iranian director Narges Abyar has been selected for the jury of the 25th Religion Today Film Festival, which opens in five Italian cities on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Director of acclaimed dramas \u201cTrack 143\u201d, \u201cBreath\u201d and \u201cWhen the Moon Was Full\u201d, Abyar is currently in Tatarstan, a semi-autonomous region in southwest Russia, to accompany the jury of the 18th edition of the Kazan International Muslim Film Festival.<\/p>\n<p>She has been honored by several international festivals and cultural centers.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in March, she was honored with the Director Achievement Award at the International Women Filmmakers Festival 2022 in Izmir, Turkey.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, she received the HUM Women Leaders Award at the Governor\u2019s House in the Pakistani city of Karachi.<\/p>\n<p>Her 2019 drama \u201cWhen the Moon Was Full\u201d received the audience award at the 23rd Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia.<\/p>\n<p>The Religion Today jury also has Mamta Shaha, a board-certified pediatrician and an assistant professor of pediatrics at New York University. She is also a board-certified ophthalmologist from Bombay University.<\/p>\n<p>Christian Kazadi Lupemba, the chairperson of Religions for Peace\u2019s Interfaith Youth Network of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and a professor of mathematics, will join the jury.<\/p>\n<p>Eda Molla Chousein, the Youth Program Coordinator of the National Interfaith Youth Network and Religions for Peace UK, is also a member of the panel.<\/p>\n<p>The Iranian movies \u201cThe Dream of a Horse\u201d, \u201cSurviving Fortress\u201d, \u201c19\u201d, \u201cThe Peach\u201d, \u201cCylinder\u201d and \u201cGraveyard\u201d will compete in different sections of the festival, which will take place in Trento, Bolzano, Rome, Venice and Marina di Camerota.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cReligion Today has been the foremost international and itinerant film festival dedicated to cinema and religions for a culture of peace and dialogue between faiths, cultures, peoples and individuals,\u201d the organizers have said.<\/p>\n<p>Elaheh Nobakht, the producer of the acclaimed Iranian documentary \u201cBeloved\u201d, was a member of the jury of the 2021 Religion Today Film Festival. \/T.T\/<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Iranian director Narges Abyar has been selected for the jury of the 25th Religion Today Film Festival, which opens in five Italian cities on Wednesday.
